Mr. Akbar has over 14 years of hands-on experience in engineering. He has worked on design and construction projects involving railroad, mass transit, roadways, bridges, housing, building, and facilities for several agencies, which include NYCT, TBTA, NYCDDC, NYCHA, NYCDOT, NYSDOT, DOB, NYCSCA and PANY&NJ. Mr. Akbar graduated from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and he is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. He has also taken classes in architectural design. His academic background and diverse experience have made him an expert in providing construction inspection services for public transportation and infrastructure improvement projects in the New York City metropolitan area. He is responsible for managing and delivering of quality assurance, overall client satisfaction, new business development and financial growth of I.A Engineering, P.C..
